History

In late 2003, under the Lord’s leading and his pastor’s blessing, Scott Beauchamp resigned as associate pastor of the Vineyard Church in Springfield. He and his family had been greatly impacted by Mike Bickle and IHOP Kansas City. As he was fasting, praying and asking the Lord if Kansas City was perhaps the next place for his family, he had an encounter with God. Lou Engle held a meeting in Springfield in September of 2004. During that meeting Lou prayed and declared over Scott, "God give him a dream!" That night the Lord gave him a dream to start the house of prayer. Several encounters and supernatural confirmations later, the HOP Springfield was established.

With no building or finances, Scott shared the dream with a few friends and began prayer meeting in houses and borrowed church facilities. God confirmed His desire for a house of prayer in Springfield as properties were donated.People caught the vision and through an immense outpouring of God's favor, 624 S 4th became the home of the HOP Springfield. The ministry was officially dedicated on May 5th, 2005 (5-5-05), and presently holds weekly prayer meetings proposed for personal devotion, worship and intercession.
